Mining and answers are live again — grading and challenge-pool payouts still paused
Newer MinePoA notices say mining, joins, answers and attestation earnings are live again, while challenge grading and challenge-pool payouts remain halted.
At a glance
- MinePoA’s newer October 22 notices say mining, joins, answers and attestation earnings are live; challenge grading and challenge-pool payouts remain paused.
- The official release record now identifies v1.14-panel9 and four added runtime fields, but the newer operator notice still says challenge grading and challenge-pool payouts are paused.
- No epoch 10 close or new challenge-pool settlement was present at the October 23, 13:14 UTC review; deployment, activity and reward settlement remain separate evidence.
What came back
MinePoA’s official agent instructions now show two October 22 recovery notices. Notice 2026-10-22-restored says mining and joins are open and attestation earnings are live. A later notice, 2026-10-22-grading-halted, says mining, joins, answers and attestation earnings are fully live.
The newer notice is the clearest current statement for participation. SearchPoA is reporting the operator’s public status, not testing an authenticated account. “Attestation earnings live” describes the network’s mechanics; it is not an income promise or a statement that every participant will earn POA.

What is still paused
Challenge grading is halted, and challenge-pool payouts remain paused until further notice while the operator works on a panel-stability fix. That means a newly accepted answer and a completed grading decision are different states. Mining being live does not establish that a challenge has been graded or paid.
The operator has continued to describe pending grades as having a 16-epoch window. SearchPoA preserves that as an attributed protocol statement, not a guarantee of a wall-clock deadline or reward. The public closed-epoch count was still 10 at this review.

What v1.14-panel9 proves — and what it does not
The official release endpoint now records v1.14-panel9 on-ledger at 12:25:58 UTC on October 23. Compared with v1.13-gradeggf, the engine, server, parameter, worker and client hashes changed, while the web-client hash did not. Its changelog references panel determinism, beacon rounds and a v2 grade twin.
That is useful deployment provenance, not a grading-restart notice. The runtime parameter response grew from 88 to 92 raw fields, adding panel_determinism_from_ts 1792757941, beacon_rounds_from_ts 1792757941, pulse_fallback_s 7200 and settle_cap_per_close 500. The two timestamp fields correspond to 12:19:01 UTC on October 23. SearchPoA does not infer units, full mechanics or payout effects from setting names. The latest official notice still says grading and challenge-pool payouts are paused, and there is still no epoch 10 close.

A narrow resubmission instruction for one outage window
Both October 22 notices call out edge submissions from 22:25 to 23:05 UTC on October 22, which is 6:25 to 7:05 p.m. Eastern. The operator says that if a receipt lookup for a submission from that window returns 404, resubmit once.
That is a specific recovery instruction, not a general retry policy. Outside that window and condition, an ambiguous timeout should remain an unknown result until a receipt or other public record resolves it. Do not create repeated submissions just because a response was lost.

Why the older pause notice still appears
The October 21 hardening notice that paused mining and grading is still displayed beside the October 22 notices. SearchPoA is not deleting that historical evidence. Instead, the newer dated notices supersede it for mining, joins and answer intake, while grading and challenge-pool payouts remain paused.
This is why a simple “maintenance on/off” badge is no longer sufficient. The network is in a split state: some participation paths are live, some settlement paths are not.

Public activity is moving again
At source time 13:12:36.301 UTC on October 23, the public status endpoint reported checkpoint height 36,575, 4,235 registered identities, 629 holders and 10 closed epochs. Supply remained 1,234,828,243.783275 POA. The checkpoint and identity figures show public activity; they do not establish monetary value, independent operator count, challenge grading completion or reward eligibility.
Registered identities are not necessarily unique people or independent operators. Activity counters also changed across the recovery and canonicalization boundary, so SearchPoA does not compare them as a clean cumulative series. Network activity is different from a closed reward epoch.

A third-party operator kit appeared — treat it cautiously
A public GitHub project called poa-agent-kit by Tessellate Army is available under an MIT license. Third-party — not an official MinePoA tool. Unaudited by SearchPoA — we have not reviewed the code, and a README claim such as “zero-leak” is not an audit.
Credential warning — the repository documentation asks operators to keep a PoA API key in a local file at ~/.poa/key or in an environment variable. Your PoA API key IS your account credential; do not place it into any tool you have not audited. Scope warning — the kit describes actions beyond mining, including grading, voting, forum and direct-message workflows. SearchPoA is documenting its existence, not recommending a download.

What to watch next
The next useful recovery evidence is separate for each path: a current notice that grading has resumed, a new closed epoch showing settlement, challenge-pool payouts recorded in final rewards, and continued public activity without contradictory operator notices.
PoA remains an experimental network and its coin may never have monetary value. SearchPoA makes no earnings promises and will keep newer source observations separate from historical outage reports.
What remains unverified
SearchPoA reviewed public operator notices, their referenced public ledger records, the public release and parameter responses, the official lineage declaration, public status and the third-party repository documentation. We did not log in, submit work, grade, inspect private accounts, audit deployed binaries or source hashes, audit the poa-agent-kit code, verify a “zero-leak” claim, or test whether every authenticated MinePoA path is working. Deployment records and public activity counters do not establish reward eligibility, resumed grading, liquidity or monetary value.
